Canon PIXMA iP5200R Drivers Download – The iP5200R is just a touch larger and heaver than the iP4200, at 6.3 by 17.5 by 12.2 inches (HWD) and 16.1 pounds. But physical setup is easy. Like the iP4200, the iP5200R uses five ink cartridge: cyan, yellow, magenta, pigment-based black, and dye-based black (for improved photo output). You need only plug in the power cord, insert the printhead and five cartridges, load paper, and, if you connect by USB cable as we did for our tests, connect the cable and run the automated setup routine.

One of the welcome touches we’re growing used to on Canon printers is the luxury of two paper inputs, with a typical ink-jet paper tray in the rear of the printer and a second tray in the front bottom. Both take 150 sheets, for an ample total 300-sheet capacity. Alternatively, you can load standard paper in one tray and photo paper in the other to switch between printing photos and standard documents.
Another welcome extra that’s unusual for ink jets in general but common for Canon printers is automatic duplexing. You’ll also find a PictBridge connector on the front for direct printing from cameras.
